Our Journey
Wellness Recovery Guide was born from a simple observation: men over 50 were being overlooked in the wellness industry. Traditional fitness programmes didn't address the unique needs of this demographic, and yoga felt intimidating or irrelevant to many.
Our founders—a combination of certified yoga instructors, sports physiotherapists, and men who themselves discovered yoga's benefits after 50—recognised an opportunity to bridge this gap. We spent years developing a methodology that respects the male body's physiology, addresses common age-related concerns like mobility loss and joint stiffness, and builds real, functional strength.

Founder & Lead Yoga Instructor
Sarah is a certified Hatha and Vinyasa yoga instructor with over 18 years of experience working with active older adults. She began teaching yoga to men over 50 after witnessing her own father's remarkable physical and mental transformation. Sarah holds a diploma in Sports Science and regularly presents at international wellness conferences on yoga for mature athletes.
David Chen
Clinical Physiotherapist & Content Director
David brings over 20 years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and sports medicine. He specialises in helping men recover from injury and manage chronic conditions through movement. David ensures all content on Wellness Recovery Guide is physiologically sound and safely adapted for men in their 50s and beyond. He holds qualifications from the Royal Society of Physiotherapists.
James Richardson
Senior Yoga Instructor & Programme Designer
James is a senior yoga instructor with a background in personal training and strength conditioning.
